Solar energy is an abundant and sustainable natural resource and energy source. Energy from the sun can be converted directly into electricity using photovoltaic (PV) modules, commonly called solar array of panels.

A grid connect system is a solar power generating system where electricity is generated for use in your home or to feed back into the electricity grid. 

Grid connected systems consist of a number of solar modules that are connected to form the solar array.
The array is then connected to an inverter which converts the DC power into AC power, so it can then be used in the power grid.

Power Control System

The power generated from the Solar Array is managed by the DC/AC Inverter.

The inverter protects the solar array from power feed back from the grid connection. Click here more Info
The grid connection system, is a 240VAC power supply for home appliances. If the grid connection feeds its power to the Solar Array it will destroy it. The inverter is like a two bladed sword. It stops the power feed from the grid and it converts the DC voltage from the Solar Array into usable 240VAC power.

Safety switches are used to isolated the Solar System from the grid connection to allow the system to be serviced or for other safety reasons.
